Who We Are

It all started in July 1989 in Ritzville Washington. My children were young and I started the business, Total Health Center, out of our home. After multiple storefront locations, including Spokane and Long Beach Washington, the store was closed in July 2013, twenty-five years later. However, customers still wanted our tea, and I wanted to include the Pregnancy Tea and the Soothing Soak in my midwifery package for all my clients, so we found a way to continue to produce and sell it.

Wholistic Woman is here to support and nourish women and their families with our teas and my coaching. We think that for too long women and children have been underserved. We know that if women’s needs are met the needs of children and the whole family are most likely to be met. That doesn’t mean we don’t love men. We have many tea and coaching offerings here that support men too.

We think education is essential, so not only do we make and sell organic bulk tea combinations, but we want to share with you what we know and continue to learn. Though I am the founder and leader of Wholistic Woman my goal is to create an organization and environment that meets the needs of our customers, and that of our team of creative partners, and that we see and meet the needs of local, national, and global women and their families whenever we can find ways to do that. We support multiple non-profit organizations that support women and children. Five percent of our sales go to these organizations.

Wholistic Woman is an organization buiLt on the values of Integrity, transparency, and authenticity. We think this gives smart creative people a safe place to work, thrive, and collaborate in our shared purpose of supporting and nourishing women and their families whether it is our customers, client, or our WW team members. We believe that business must have a higher purpose above and beyond just making money.

Finally, our Wholistic Woman office is in Spokane Washington and resides within the traditional homelands of the Spokane People, Coeur d’ Alene Tribe, Kalispel Tribe of Indians, Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, and other tribes who are connected through their shared history of this region. We humbly acknowledge that the land we work, live, and play on was stolen from these indigenous tribes and we remember their connection to this region and the hardships they continue to endure. We honor these tribes. This land holds their cultural DNA and it is their Ancestors who are here and bring forth the knowledge of this place – the knowledge that comes from the land since time immemorial. We ask that in keeping with the tribes’ mission, that you honor the land by taking only what you need and to leave it better than you found it. As an organization and as individuals, we endeavor to find new ways to show respect and honor to the elders past and present and the people of these tribes.

If you got all the way here, thank you for reading our story. We are so glad you are here. Please let us know how we can help make your life better! Tamy Knight Roloff (she/her)
