The herbs in our Menopause Tea have traditionally been used in some of the following ways:

Cinnamon Bark — a pleasant tasting warming herb that is stimulating to the circulatory system, shown to be useful in blood sugar stabilization, and soothing to the digestive system and supportive of the absorption of other herbs

Ginger — used by many traditional cultures in food as well as medicine it may be useful for hot flushes, improve digestion, act as an anti-inflammatory, support the heart, brain, bones, and immune system

Lemon Balm — has been traditionally used to uplift the spirits, as herbalist Culpepper mentions, some of its properties were spiritual in nature. It is a happy member of the mint family and can aid in supporting sleep and anxiety brought on by the hormonal shifts during menopause

Motherwort — is known to help with hot flashes, water retention, and mood swings and known to be a tonic for the heart helping nervousness with heart palpitations

Red Clover Blossoms —it has been found to contain isoflavones which is a property that produces estrogen-like effects in the body which have been shown to support symptoms like hot flashes, heart health, and bone health

Sage —contains phytoestrogens and traditionally known to help with hot flashes, night sweats, heart palpitation, muscle and joint pain, depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, and altered sexual desire

Skullcap — a rich source of the minerals calcium, potassium, magnesium and zinc all important for a healthy nervous system

Black Cohosh —rich in phytoestrogens it is known for supporting symptoms of menopause such as vaginal dryness, excessive sweating, and altered moods

Chase Tree Berry —traditionally used to balance hormones, support the liver as well as recent scientific research suggesting it relieves menopause symptoms. This is an herb that is dear to my heart. I began using the extract with women experiencing unusually heavy periods where the medical option would be a a prescription of birth control pills. Within a few cycles most women saw their periods got lighter and PMS symptoms decrease.

Dandelion Leaf — can help the liver process excess hormones. Dandelion is "invaluable to women going through menopause" Herbalist Rosemary Gladstar

“The Crone represents the wise old woman in each of us and symbolizes that time of life when wisdom is sought. Biologically, she corresponds to the menopause cycle of a woman's life. She holds the key to wisdom and maturity gained from life experience. She is the keeper of dreams, the shaman within, and a spirit friend who can guide us on our spiritual quest. She is little understood in our society and, rather than being respected and honored, she is feared and ridiculed. The sum of our collected experiences as women, The Crone is a formidable force if not reconciled with. She makes herself known in one form or another. It is best to listen to her guidance and respond.“ Rosemary Gladstar ~ Herbal Healing for Women

“A Crone is a woman who has found her voice…her fierceness springs from the heart…gives her courage…makes her a force to be reckoned with.” Jean Shinoda Bolen Crones Don’t Whine: Concentrated Wisdom for Juicy Women

“Aging is an extraordinary process whereby you become the person you always should have been.” David Bowie

Along with Menopause Tea you might consider using Wholistic Woman’s Woman Support Tea alone or with Menopause Tea during perimenopause and menopause. Since I didn’t have many menopause symptoms myself I used this tea throughout Menopause and found it to be all I needed.
